Claudio Melis’ concert opens and closes with selections from Astor Piazzolla’s
Histoire du Tango, performed by Claudio on the soprano saxophone and Adrian
Heiskanen on the piano. Between these works, the program highlights Claudio’s
original compositions—songs shaped by Sardinian and Italian folk traditions,
South American songwriting, and elements of jazz and classical music—which he
will also perform as vocalist. An ensemble of five to seven musicians will support
the performance in an intimate, finely crafted arrangement.

Artist Bio:
Claudio Melis is a Sardinian singer-songwriter, composer, and multiinstrumentalist.
Born and raised on the island, he began studying music and
writing songs, prose, and poetry at a young age. He trained formally in classical
saxophone, first approached the guitar through classical music, and is continuing
his studies in jazz guitar. His sound blends the depth of Italian songwriting with
classical influences, acoustic and folk traditions, and contemporary pop.
Driven by a constant inner, spiritual, and aesthetic search, Claudio offers fragments of real life:
intimate, poetic, and multidimensional. On stage, his charismatic presence bridges the tragic and the
comic, revealing the full spectrum of human emotion through his music.
His world is melancholic yet alive, experimental yet grounded. Claudio Melis is an artist who
reshapes sound into meaning, bringing a sense of playful disorder to silence and introspection
