Artist talk October 14th 2026 at 16.00.
In The Void of Dreams, Ivan Kostiurin, a trained architect, views the dream as an object of restoration. In Ivan’s paintings, holes, voids, and abysses coexist with vast, empty spaces that are filled only sparingly with architectural and sculptural forms, plants, creatures, and indeterminate objects that populate dreams.
Ivan Kostiurin is a visual artist and animator with a background in architecture. He studied at the Repin Institute in St. Petersburg and has been living and working in Jakobstad, Finland, since 2022. His artistic practice encompasses painting, drawing, relief, objects, and stop-motion animation.
